JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Software Development Intern will work with the Corporate IT Engineering team under general supervision of the Sr Team Manager and alongside the Corporate IT Engineering Support and Program Management teams. The intern will have assigned duties that may include: 

  • Working alongside the Engineering Applications team to support the key projects and application development
  • Partnering with B/E Solution Architects on various IT projects
  • Participating and contributing to weekly staff meetings
  • Implementing Log Mining approach for PLM application(s)
  • Performing other duties, as assigned

 

Depending on the support activity or project, these may become part of recommendations that will be used in identifying cost saving opportunities, process improvements, or the introduction of new B/E technology standards. The intern will have an opportunity to learn how to drive and coach broader implementations of business projects by being part of teams using proven real-world based methodologies and tools.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum GPA  of 3.0
  • Completion of sophomore year
  • Enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the Fall 2017 semester in Information Technology or related field

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Programming or scripting experience
  • Previous internships, research, or project experience in relevant field
  • An interest in developing a career in data analytics or management information systems
  • Course completion or experience with digital design and or manufacturing software.
  • Completed coursework or experience related to data analytics and or management information systems 
  • Basic experience with MS Project
  • Intermediate experience with MS Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of engineering design process
  • Basic experience with MS Office Suite
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 10 weeks
  • Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication skills
