Our WestPoint facility focuses on manufacturing the highest quality main cabin economy seating as well as premium aircraft seating for various customers around the globe.

 

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Production Planner in our Interior Systems business located in Winston-Salem, NC.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Production Planner is responsible for performing a wide variety of complex planning activities required to attain production objectives.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reviews engineering plans and product specifications to determine raw material requirements to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Liaise with purchasing, quality, materials and manufacturing/assembly departments to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner
  • Perform SAP transactions from order entry through order completion for shipping.
  • Works with Purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based on production forecasts.
  • Works with Engineering and related areas to develop tools and procedures to maximize facility and equipment utilization.
  • Publish daily updates, ship dates and airway bill information for all orders placed by internal and external customers.
  • Assignments are generally the most complex within planning activities and include the attainment of planning objectives where products and/or production processes are new or manufacturing processes are variable.
  • May direct and assist lower level planners.
  • General administrative duties required for short on arrive (SOA) purchase on arrive (POA) Inter-company orders.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable systems experience and a working knowledge of JDE/SAP or MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) packages.
  • Inventory Management: Experience of managing and planning materials inventory.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Supply Chain Experience.
