As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Buyer in our Seating New Equipment business located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.





The Buyer will purchase merchandise, materials, components, equipment, and/or services in order to successfully support the business goals.




  • Purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, delivery, and terms; typically purchases $5-$10 million per year of products and services; purchases complex items where detailed specification is involved.
  • This seasoned-level position is involved in developing specifications and requires analysis to balance the value of competing bids; guided by established policy and with minimum supervision, carries out broad assignments usually involving the purchase of important and critical items requiring extensive or specialized knowledge and experience.
  • Negotiates contracts where losses, occurring through errors in judgment, would seriously impact company operations.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
  • Negotiates service contracts and approves extra work claims.
  • Conducts value analysis studies.
  • Performs other related duties as required.






  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications.





  • Experience working with SAP, MRP system.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace.
