JOB SUMMARY

Manage performance of specific purchasing programs and/or suppliers measured by on time delivery, quality and cost. This position is based at Shanghai.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demand/forecast  management
  • Suppliers safety stock build up
  • Daily delivery management pull in, push out with suppliers and escalation.
  • Backup role of Project Manager for project coordination
  • Data collection and analysis for RFQ, EQ, LAI, FAI etc.
  • Assistant for weekly conference call with suppliers.
  • Coordination for visits.
  • Suppliers OTD performance management
  • Payment problem facilitation and escalation
  • Work with global and divisional Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) to support new program purchasing requests and achieve on time delivery goals of purchased components
  • Expedite the procurement process and exercise effective communication when required by procedures/processes/management
  • Measure and rate supplier performance, and be responsible for supplier problem resolution
  • Attend cross-functional review of supplier performance with commodity management, purchasing, quality, project management and logistics with the expectation to report program purchasing status, issues with suppliers, actions and support required
  • Resolve supplier performance issues in a fair and ethical manner
  • Monitor and communicate forecasted program purchasing volumes
  • Communicate purchasing schedule concerns with CFTs and supply base with activity and timing
  • Support Engineering Change Management when modifications to procurements or supplier agreements are requested. Manage cost and timing associated with design change.
  • Risk assessment – project and supplier, drive project risk mitigation activities which are associated with supply base
  • Participate global and divisional component sourcing and/or cost estimating activities as required by program
  • Support cost reduction efforts affiliated with purchased components, and follow up to ensure effective implementation
  • Verify that supplier quotes match Bill of Materials for accuracy before executing purchase

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) of four year college or university or higher
  • 4-5 years of supply chain and/or program management experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and understand drawings in English
  • Mechanic / Process Engineering experience in aerospace industry is a PLUS
  • Fluent in English speaking and writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Office, PowerPoint and Outlook
