The Collins Aerospace Interior Systems Summer Intern Program affords students the ability to:

    • Access and work with state-of-the-art equipment
    • Learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment
    • Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Rockwell Collins Interior Systems, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business
    • Earn a competitive salary during the program

    • Gain possible future employment



    • Conduct time studies and oversee the build sequences of major product lines to collect actual touch time data.
    • Conduct process improvements, analyze and value stream current processes finding opportunities to eliminate waste.
    • Creating new metric developments for business unit and standard work packages.



    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Completion of sophomore year
    • Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program for the Fall 2019 semester in related field (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering)
    • Available for a 12 week commitment between May – August 2019.



    • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access.
    • Demonstration of effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate in a team environment with multi-disciplinary members
