B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking energetic, self-starters for the position of Supply Chain Manager within Macrolink located in Medford, NY.


We currently have an opening for Supply Chain Manager available. The Supply Chain Manager performs a wide variety of tasks related to the managing of material purchase and flow to support the site manufacturing group.  Details are:




Manages, controls, and directs the activities and staff involved in the multiple functions of purchasing, material planning, stores, inventory control, production control, traffic, shipping and receiving.




  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develops and maintains procurement policies which insure timely delivery of goods, equipment, materials and supplies at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards and specifications of the company. 
  • Manages all processes related to the external procurement of raw materials, parts, supplies and services required at minimum cost, consistent with delivery requirements and quality specifications.
  • Implements operating procedures concerning the selection and qualification of suppliers, processing of purchase requisition/orders, control of price, quality and delivery requirements. 
  • Establishment or maintenance of the supply chain KPI's (Kit Fill Rate, Inventory Turns, Inventory Physical Count Accuracy, etc) to support business and or corporate goals and objectives.
  • Provides for the development and implementation of inventory control systems to maintain and track the status of purchase orders, inventory levels and production requirements.  Coordinates transportation and warehousing of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Manages the activities of exempt and/or non-exempt Buyers and Planners and support personnel to accomplish objectives through the use of visual management tools.
  • Coordinates vendor search and selection.  Negotiates major purchasing contracts, blanket orders and long term purchase agreements. 
  • Coordinates inventory and production schedules to optimize costs. Directs acquisition of materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.
  • Monitors performance and capabilities of vendors to insure maintenance of delivery, quality and price commitments.
  • Additionally, candidates should be proficient with Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) systems to carry out the stated responsibilities.  A government security clearance of SECRET or above is preferred.




  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple suppliers to deliver positive value to the organization.
  • Proficiencies with MRP / ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams.




  • Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Experience with Intuitive and/or SAP.
  • APICS Certification.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Lean Operational Excellence experience.
