Our Lenexa facility specializes in the production of Oxygen Life Support Systems and Galley Inserts Beverage Maker Products. Our Oxygen and Beverage Maker small parts assembly manufacturing focuses on safety and quality products production into the field for aircraft crew and passengers. 


As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a value Stream Manager in our Oxygen & PSU Systems business located in Lenexa, KS.



The Value Stream Managers primary responsibility will be to develop and execute site operational strategies and plans.  They will conduct day to day management of a product line to meet production and program goals as defined in the business Strategic and Operating Plans.  They will maintain the responsibility to ensure the manufacturing unit achieves full customer satisfaction with its performance and meets financial goals.  On time delivery and quality, as defined and measured by the balanced scorecard process, are key to customer satisfaction support the mission to achieve a maximum market penetration.  Direct supervision of a multi-functional team that is accountable for production line operation as well as, the direct supervision the supply chain and materials teams in a matrix organization.  They will also direct supervision of planning, along with the Sustaining, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams in a matrix organization.  They will drive LEAN and continuous improvement processes throughout the manufacturing process and ensures the EHS goals are achieved. 



  • Coordinates all facets of the operation of the local production unit ensuring compliance with local, state, federal laws, regulations, company policy an operating requirements
  • Ensuring we meet operational metrics & maintain customer satisfaction
  • Is responsible for meeting the financial performance targets as they evolve throughout the year including Inventory turn
  • Is responsible to coordinate the demand forecasting with the Sales and Customer Service Organization to ensure the manufacturing plan accurately reflects the customer demand. 
  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, reporting and problem solution.   Also is responsible to ensure the manufacturing operation is run in a safe manner according to B/E and local EHS rules and recommendations.
  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the supply chain is able to deliver on time and to quality, adequate materials to meet the production plan.
  • Controls inventory and works with finance to ensure the financial statements accurately reflect the state of the business
  • Supports finance in regular operations performance reporting.
  • Participates in the development of the Strategic Plan as well as the operating goals and objectives for the Business Unit. Recommends, implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance the operation’s efficiency
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience of leading and managing a small team
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages
  • Experience of managing KPI’s
  • Proven success in using Lean manufacturing methods using concepts of Golden Triangle, Tier Management and elimination of waste.
  • Knowledge of production budgeting and forecasting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, prepare and implement business plans and resources/revenue generating strategies.
  • Ability to interpret technical data.


  • Formal management training[1]
  • Familiar with operating within and AS9100 Quality System
  • Familiarity with safety regulations
  • Export Compliance Knowledge
  • Experience of managing suppliers
  • Familiar with operating a manufacturing operation in compliance with the aviation industry requirements
  • Aerospace industry experience.
