Our Lenexa facility specializes in the production of Oxygen Life Support Systems and Galley Inserts Beverage Maker Products. Our Oxygen and Beverage Maker small parts assembly manufacturing focuses on safety and quality products production into the field for aircraft crew and passengers. 


As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Engineering Lab Technician in our Beverage Maker Products business located in Lenexa, KS.



The Engineering Lab Technician primary responsibility will be to set up and conduct testing on products and components, which may include analog, digital and/or logic systems that are used on various aerospace vehicles, while being subjected to environmental stresses (e.g., temperature, humidity, vacuum, vibration, etc.).  These activities also include calibrating and troubleshooting products and components.



  • Responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as test, checkout, modification/fabrication of test setups, and assembly of specialized test fixtures/setups.
  • Responsible for setting up instrumentation for control and data acquisition required to perform, monitor, and log these testing results as detailed in qualification test procedures while working hand in hand with Engineers.
  • Provide assistance in the repair and preventative maintenance of laboratory test equipment and will be working in an environment of continuous improvement and expected to participate and support these activities.
  • Performance of environmental tests (programming and operation of various test equipment and chambers) on electrical, electronic, mechanical and electromechanical devices in accordance with company qualification test procedures
  • Record results on provided data sheets requiring specific attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble‑shooting functions
  • Disassembles instruments and equipment, using hand tools, and inspects components for defects.
  • Conducts engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research work.
  • Performs operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Continues to develop mechanical skills under direct supervision while working on assigned projects.



  • Associates degree
  • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 


  • Knowledge of LabVIEW programming
  • Good computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as test procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • While performing the duties, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or equipment.  The noise level is usually quiet in the office environments but can be louder in the test labs like the vibration test areas, so hearing protection shall be needed.
  • While performing the lab technician job duties, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
