B/E Aerospace, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwell Collins Inc., is a leading manufacturer of aircraft interior products and we currently have some exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a Program Planning Manager.

 

Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Planning Manager is required to lead the program planning team to maintain robust and meaningful program planning activity across the Interior Structures business using P6.

 

 

Key responsibilities include –

 

  • Manage the Planning team, leading activity across the employee lifecycle to include robust performance management
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships across the Program Management team to ensure all planning activity is value add and effective
  • Establish task (work package) baseline planning for allocated programs
  • Resource allocate and balance all program plans
  • Provide task lists for resources and monitor/report cost (hour) performance to PM & functional managers
  • Take performance against the baseline plans and provide KPI’s to all appropriate functions
  • Provide company-wide visibility as required for all program tasks and performance against baseline planning
  • Support  HR and other teams as required in the resource management process for programs, supporting the resource allocation process for all programs
  • Identify Resource issues and manage the short term priority setting process
  • Oversee the portfolio  and identify risk and opportunities
  • Support the development of Project Management procedures
  • Help monitor the Application of project management procedures
  • Support the development of Project management tools and procedures

 

The successful candidate will have the following –

 

  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • Experienced Senior Planner with a proven track record over a minimum of 5 years managing and executing the planning of major complex programmes using Primavera P6
  • Good leadership, man-management and interpersonal skills with a track record of leading a successful and organised planning team.
  • Proven track record of positively influencing planning teams of up to 10 planners to achieve optimal time, cost and performance goals.
  • Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • Can demonstrate expert knowledge on Primavera P6 (mandatory)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project (Essential)
  • Can demonstrate expert knowledge on other planning tools
  • Detailed knowledge of Primavera Risk Analysis (preferable)
