B/E Aerospace's Fenwick, West Virginia facility specializes in the designing and manufacturing of Aircraft De-Icing equipment and Specialty Products. We provide expert support for reinforced fabric composites, highly engineered injection molded plastics and specialty vulcanized polymer products. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manufacturing Supevisor located in Fenwick, West Virginia.

 

SUMMARY

Implements activities in production unit(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives, to include supervision of exempt and nonexempt associates involved in production, assembly, subassembly or fabrication operations; by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Review and prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; assigns associates to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.
  • Inform assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules.
  • Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
  • Develop schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides direct supervision to exempt and/or nonexempt associates and may provide general supervision to lower-level supervisors.   Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's guidelines, procedures and policies plus applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; and at least three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
