The Lavatories and Water Waste Systems division of Rockwell Collins formerly B/E Aerospace is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. The Lavatories and Water Waste Systems Advanced Lavatory is a cutting edge product, offering a unique value proposition that allows airlines to increase revenue and lower operational cost.  Our highly dedicated team is situated next to Paine Field in Everett, Washington.  From this state of the art manufacturing and engineering facility, the Lavatories and Water Waste Systems supports its global airline customer base as well as the OEM.

 

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Program Manager in our Lavatories and Water Waste Systems business located in Everett, WA.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

Reporting to the Director of Program Management the Program Manager will manage the activities of product lines, projects, and programs involving department or cross-functional teams.  The Program Manager will also focus on delivery within prescribed time fame and funding parameters.  They will also monitor the product line, program, and project from initiation through delivery.

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project; reports findings to leadership.
  • Owns customer relationship for specific programs and manages internal communication to effectively execute customer requirements within the organizations capability.
  • Confers with staff to outline work plan and responsibilities.
  • Works with Aircraft OEMs (i.e. Boeing or Airbus) and/or airline customers for new product development.
  • Manages program P&L.
  • Coordinates activities of team to ensure project progresses within scope, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Compiles status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required; prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with team to provide technical advice and to solve problems.
  • Develops and implements processes and influences adherence.
  • Provides strong leadership to team including employee development and performance management.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Full life-cycle (front to end process) program/project exposure.
  • Proven exceptional customer relationship management skills.
  • Previously demonstrated strong change management (scope creep) capabilities.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in a matrixed organization; ability to build strong relationships.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
  • PMP certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, especially in the aerospace industry.
  • Technical engineering knowledge and understanding, especially with degree obtained in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership.
