The Lavatories Systems division of Collins Aerospace is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. The Advanced Lavatory is a cutting edge product, offering a unique value proposition that allows airlines to increase revenue and lower operational cost.  Our highly dedicated team is situated next to Paine Field in Everett, Washington.  From this state of the art manufacturing and engineering facility, Lavatories Systems group supports its global airline customer base as well as the OEM.


As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Buyer in our Lavatories Systems business located in Everett, WA.  




Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Buyer will be part of a strategic supply chain team and a dynamic group of high energy people who take charge and solve problems. The best candidate for this role will be someone who is a self-starter, and committed to developing strong relationships both internally and externally with a global team of buyers and suppliers. This Buyer will be able to work in an extremely fast paced and changing environment to come up with creative approaches to complex challenges both independently and effectively.  Comfort with balancing several projects at once is essential to success.




  • Reviews, approves, and places orders based on purchase requisitions; follows up and expedites as necessary
  • Acts as liaison between suppliers and internal customers on issues affecting parts supply/availability.
  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with receiving, inspection, quality, engineering, supplier, and others to determine source of trouble and take necessary actions including coordinating RTV and supplier charge-back if appropriate
  • Works with tactical buyers and strategic buyers in resolving issues affecting delivery/supply.
  • Investigates and qualifies suppliers in coordination with supplier quality
  • Resolves grief issues, MRBs and hold parts to ensure on-time closure/releasing of parts.
  • Investigates and resolves invoice discrepancies; requests and routes credit memos as needed
  • Reviews and make recommendations to improve existing process/practice.
  • Leads improvement initiatives within areas of work.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.




  • Experience working with Aerospace quality requirements, and regulations (AS9100, etc).
  • Experience reviewing and understanding basics of technical documents (drawings/prints, specifications, etc.)
