The Rockwell Collins Interior Systems Summer Intern Program affords students the ability to:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Understanding and evaluating current business processes in design, engineering, manufacturing, testing and quality assurance.
  • Focus on the Change Management Process across all functional groups in the business.
  • Facilitating Kaizen meetings with Program Managers and IPT members, in particular to gather feedback/data and present findings/improvements.
  • Track program cost and schedule performance and collate/present pertinent data to the Integrated Project Team.
  • Collect and analyze data relating the health of the business to be shared with external customers.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of sophomore year
  • Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program for the Fall 2019 semester in related field (BS or MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Business)
  • Available for a 12 week commitment between May – August 2019. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Proficient MS Office user (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Some experience with program scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera)
  • Solid technical foundation, especially in areas related mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to take ownership of tasks from start through to completion with minimal supervision.
