The Rockwell Collins Interior Systems Summer Intern Program affords students the ability to:

  • Access and work with state-of-the-art equipment
  • Learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment
  • Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Rockwell Collins Interior Systems, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business
  • Earn a competitive salary during the program

  • Gain possible future employment




  • Program management systems – help with managing the program management system to product resource forecasts
  • Focus on select areas of interest within program management to make targeted improvements
  • Tool development – Survey the current process and develop ideas / pathways for automation
  • Provide assistance to project manager on project related tasks (planning, change, actions)





  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of sophomore year
  • Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program for the Fall 2019 semester in related field (Engineering, Project Management, Business)
  • Available for a 12 week commitment between May – August 2019. 





  • Proficient Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some experience with program scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera)
  • Solid technical foundation, especially in areas related in engineering, project management, business areas of focus
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to take ownership of tasks from start through to completion with minimal supervision
  • Desire to learn and make an impact.
