The Rockwell Collins Interior Systems Summer Intern Program affords students the ability to:


  • Access and work with state-of-the-art equipment
  • Learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment
  • Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Rockwell Collins Interior Systems, which allows the intern to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business
  • Earn a competitive salary during the program

  • Develop a wireless control circuit and software to leverage in Lighting products.

  • Create Functioning prototype in Lighting mock-up.
  • Working handheld app for wireless control.
  • Work on calibration improvements on color mixing and flux algorithms, product and system testing to bridge any gaps in project work.





  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of sophomore year
  • Enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program for the Fall 2018 semester in an Engineering discipline.




  • Electrical or Software Engineering disciplines preferred.
  • Electronic circuit analysis/design course(s) or experience.
  • C, C++, and/or Python programming experience a plus.
  • Familiar with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, breadboards, etc.)
