As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Customer Support Engineer in our Refrigeration Products business located in Anaheim, CA.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Product Support, the successful candidate will provide customers with product and technical support for aircraft cabin interior products, including product usage, performance/troubleshooting, and repair/maintenance. In addition, will select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct involvement with customers on resolution of in-service performance issues with aircraft refrigeration and trash compactor equipment.
  • Must be the voice of the customer internally to drive resolutions through the organization.
  • Identify problems conducting root cause analysis to determine corrective action and validation.
  • Compile reliability data and identify trends through analysis.
  • Must interface with customers and engineering on technical solutions and field implementation plans.
  • Implement solutions into future production shipments incorporating problem avoidance on next generation design efforts (lessons learned).
  • Interface with design engineering, program management, and production on issue resolution and future problem avoidance.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from a four year college or university.
  • Three (3) years of Product Support experience; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Must have solid knowledge of engineering.
  • Ability to travel globally and up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Experience in design, data analysis, and design control practices.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to directly interface with both internal department employees and external customers.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with common PC software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other project and engineering related software programs.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience with refrigeration, galley inserts, and/or hydraulic systems in the aerospace industry, as well as electrical (circuit boards and harnessing) manufacturing.
  • Experience in Aerospace certification requirements
  • Previous experience with aviation qualification processes desirable.
  • Must be customer-focused with ability to interface and work effectively with commercial airline customers and commercial aircraft OEM's.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external clients.
  • Must be able to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
