With a global installed base of 1 million passenger seats, the Seating Aftermarket Organisation (SAO) offers a comprehensive aftermarket service to our customers. These services include spare parts supply and repair services across all classes of seat whether it is Super First Class, Business Class or Economy Class. The Seating Aftermarket business and dedicated repair station based in Winston-Salem, NC, specializes in the repair and overhaul of B/E products. Services include cleaning, repair, overhaul, refurbishment and refreshing of passenger seating.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Certification Engineer in our Seating Aftermarket Organization, located in Winston-Salem, NC.
- JOB SUMMARY:*
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Certification Engineer will research, plan and execute the FAA certification process involved in the redesign, upgrading, reconfiguration and modification of commercial aircraft.
Perform documentation, monitoring and testing.
Perform a variety of routine tasks that are planned to provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices and programs of the company.
Using readily available clear and direct references, provide straightforward solutions to problems.
Collect and evaluate data, and develop plans for assignments involving design application.
Bachelor’s degree from an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited college or university in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering and up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competence with Microsoft Office suite to include MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
