As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Corporate* Counsel for Labor and Employment* within our Legal Team located in Winston-Salem, NC.

  • JOB SUMMARY*

Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, the Corporate *Counsel *will manage all legal aspects of labor and employment matters as they arise out of the Company’s Interior System's division.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Provide proactive, high quality, timely and cost effective legal advice and services to management with respect to labor and employment matters

  • Effectively manage litigation, arbitration, charges, grievances, claims, other matters in dispute, and investigations involving labor and employment issues

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote compliance with labor and employment laws and regulations

  • Manage outside counsel representing the Company so that the desired results are obtained in a timely and cost effective manner

  • Actively partner and advise on labor and employment law

  • Provide proactive legal support for the development, negotiation and execution of Company business strategies

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited college or university

  • Eight (8) years of legal experience

  • Possess a thorough understanding of U.S. and international employment and labor laws and regulations

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

  • Have sound judgment and risk awareness across multiple substantive areas of the law

  • Have refined risk assessment skills, with strong, pragmatic business acumen and the ability to recognize the business consequences of legal advice

  • Have excellent interpersonal/people skills (including the ability to influence and build relationships without the benefit of direct authority) and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Be guided by unwavering integrity, and a strong ethical center
