Summary / Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs the most complex and highly varied machining operations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties&Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Analyzes complex blueprints, engineering specifications and general engineering instructions to plan, set-up and execute work assignments. Sets-up and operates the complete range of machine tools including lathe, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, polishing equipment, etc. Machining assignments include the design and construction of tools, dies and fixtures required to machine experimental parts. Assignments are highly varied and require a considerable amount of independent judgment and coordination with developmental engineers. May provide technical guidance to other personnel.Other duties may be assigned.
