  • JOB SUMMARY*

This Manager, Human Resources is a leadership position and will manage HR responsibilities for the Westminster, CA, site. This role supports the site VP/GM as the HR business leader, while deploying HR processes, policies and procedures and other activities. This position will counsel and educate managers and employees on HR issues. 

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Initiates and sustains collaborative, trust-based relationships with executive management, directors, senior management, peers, and centers of excellence

  • Adapts, develops and/or implements appropriate human resource structures, tools, policies, processes and procedures to support the business strategy

  • Creates, nurtures and sustains a positive, engaging work environment that attracts, develops and retains critical talent

  • Promotes a change-oriented culture to help drive priority-based initiatives aligned with the business goals throughout the organization

  • Effectively crafts and communicates company messages

  • Measures HR performance against annual operating plan metrics

  • Contributes leading-edge thought leadership and innovative approaches to maximize organizational performance within the group

  • Creates an environment that supports ongoing efforts to identify and develop management and technical talent throughout the organization with particular emphasis on developing critical skills to support business goals

  • Manages vendor and consulting relationships by proactively setting the direction and leading major priority initiatives

  • Executes performance review, merit review, talent review and open enrollment processes

  • Forecasts and conducts workforce planning with functional leadership to ensure business meets customer expectations as well as financial commitments to the strategy plan. Measures HR performance against annual operating plan metrics

  • Performs other duties as required

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of ten (10) years related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Strong HR and business experience in operations/manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, environment with a focus on accomplishing more with less, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery of high quality products and services to all customers

  • Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels in a fast paced environment

  • Demonstrate discretion, able to work with sensitive and confidential materials and possess good business judgment

  • General knowledge of employment laws and ability to apply legal concepts to real world situations

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal across a wide audience

  • Proven ability to deal with conflict and diffuse difficult situations

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • PHR or SPHR certification

  • Experience working in large organizations with a geographically dispersed workforce
