As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a General Accountant in our Finance business located in Westminster, CA.

This division of B/E Aerospace specializes in high-quality, complex components, assemblies, kits, gears, precision and gearbox assemblies, and complex machined parts for commercial and military aerospace applications.

  • JOB SUMMARY*

Reporting to the Controller, the General Accountant applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Following general instructions and with discretion as to work details, performs accounting tasks of a difficult nature requiring an experienced, professional knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, General Accounting and the like.

  • Interprets accounting data, analyses reports and recommends action to be taken.

  • Prepares difficult journal entries, maintains complex ledgers, reconciles and analyzes specific general ledger and cost account ledgers.

  • Assists in the development and installation of accounting systems, cost accounting methods, procedures and controls. May establish and maintain property accounting records.

  • Reviews the preparation of various financial statements, records and reports compiled by lower level accounting support personnel.

  • May provide work leadership for an accounting functional unit such as Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Cost Account, Consolidations and similar functions

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.

  • Three (3) years of related experience in manufacturing accounting. Activities should include general accounting, bank reconciliations, budget and forecasting, as well as account reconciliations.

  • Experience with billing and accounts receivables.

  • Payroll experience.

  • Microsoft office; advanced Excel skills.

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

  • CPA

  • Experience with EPICOR

  • Experience with implementation of new ERP systems

  • VMI experience
