The planning and design of mechanical equipment; and the oversight of the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.
Description:
B/E Aerospace has an opportunity for a Unigraphics Mechanical Design Engineer. This position has emerged as the result of an expanding base of business for custom interior programs forsuper first class cabins for commercial jets. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of mechanical systems, such as those employed in aircraft seating and interiors. Relevant competencies will include structures, complex surfaces, latching and kinematic movement mechanisms and cabinetry. Materials experiences should include sheet metal, machined components, composites, plastics, and wiring systems. Specific responsibilities will include: design of mechanical components and assemblies with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability. Parametric modeling and design experience in Unigraphics will be preferred. Experience with FEA, DFM/A and related analysis and problem solving tools will be preferred. The candidate must be comfortable in a multitasking environment and be able to deal with often conflicting priorities.
Proficient in NX5 or above preferred or Proficient in CATIA and willing to trainin NX7.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and minimum three years related experience.
