SUMMARY
Plans, conducts and administers the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with process changes.

SUMMARY
Ensures all Oracle systems and related peripheral devices and components are configured and utilized effectively to support the local business processes with a specific focus on SQL and Oracle optimization within a large scale UNIX environment. Provides functional direction and coordinates the use of internal resources and personnel and/or vendor support to ensure agreed service, security, performance and availability levels of Oracle implementations are met. Monitors overall performance of computer systems, performs research and provides recommendations for improving performance, security, service levels and cost reductions within the Oracle environment.

·        Participate in design and code reviews, documentation of design, implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality database implementation
·        Tune SQL queries and database performance for applications within the various environments
·        Implement key database instrumentation tool sets
·        Assist in data modeling processes
·        Set-up and execute database performance benchmarks
·        Ability to perform and analyze Statspack reports, AWR reports, and utilize Grid Control and/or Enterprise Manager for performance improvements

SUMMARY
Ensures all pSeries computer systems and related peripheral devices and components are configured and utilized effectively to support the local business processes. Provides functional direction and coordinates the use of internal resources and personnel and/or vendor support to ensure agreed service, security, performance and availability levels of network computer systems are met. Monitors overall performance of computer systems, performs research and provides recommendations for improving performance, security, service levels and cost reductions.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·        Supports, maintains, develops and troubleshoots the network, computer and telecommunication systems, related peripheral devices and local area networks elements associated with the pSeries implementations.

·        Creates and maintains detailed documentation and procedures governing the network computer systems and peripherals in all aspects of its utilization; ensure associates work in compliance with the documented procedures and guidelines for pSeries implementations.
·        Works closely with Network Administrators to monitor, analyze and troubleshoot local area networks and components for pSeries implementations.
·        Designs, tests and implements measures, systems and software to adequately protect the network computer systems, components and data from natural disasters, power failures, intrusions and viruses for pSeries implementations.
·        Designs, tests and implements measures, systems and software to protect, backup, restore and store business data for pSeries implementations.
·        Designs, tests and implements new computer systems, operating systems and applications for pSeries implementations.
·        Remains up-to-date with the latest network computer systems, operating systems, innovations and industry best practices for pSeries implementations.
·        Performs continuous research and audits to ensure continuous and high levels of performance, security and availability of network and operating systems and peripheral devices for pSeries implementations.
·        Advises application developers, technical specialists, management and users about network (operating) systems, components and peripheral devices, based on trends, developments, experiences and company/industry best practices for pSeries implementations.
·        Analyzes impact of network systems and components for the technical infrastructure and communicates the results with the responsible technical specialists in order to reach the appropriate and effective use of the various technologies for pSeries implementations.
·        Ensures regular reporting to management regarding performance and service levels of network systems, in order to inform responsible management about major deviations and/or corrective actions for pSeries implementations.
·        Provides guidance and direction to lower-level System Administrators.
·        Maintains close relations with local management staff to ensure the local business processes are continuously and adequately being supported and developed by IT.
·        Participates in projects with other IT departments and/or external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

* Develops Technical Standard Orders (TSO's) and configuration reports to achieve FAAapproval.
* Prepares flammability test plans/reports and supports assigned program schedule
* Generates pre-test documentation for development and certification testing.
* Prepares and supports actual flammability testing by ordering test articles/materials, coordinating with program teams, and witnessing and documenting test reports.
* Assists in preparation of test samples in house and/or obtains the samples prepared by material suppliers.
* Acts as liaison with test houses to conduct the flammability testing in an expedient manner.

Job Summary
As staff specialist, the Staff Engineer - Plastics will be responsible for applying knowledge of product design, assembly, tooling and materials.  This position will be recognized as a technical expert within the department or division of the company and responsible for interpreting theories and concepts of plastic materials manufacturing and apply sound/robust material/process principles for material selection based on component and process requirements based on strength, reliability and manufacturability.
 
Key Responsibilities
* Select materials for non-metallic applications.
* Master the applicable flammability requirements (FAR 25.853(a), FAR 25.853(d), Airbus specification ABD0031 and Boeing specification D6-51377).
* Fully understand thermoplastics and fiber reinforced thermplastics (parts, materials and manufacturing processes).
* Run mold flow analysis using Autodesk Moldflow software (fill, warp, etc…).
* Analyze and review injection molded parts from all B/E branches to ensure that all applicable requirements (structural,weight, aesthetics, cost, manufacturability, reliability, maintainability, etc...) are met.
* Provide support to the design engineers during the development process.
* Generate reports from Moldflow software.
* Interface with the strategic purchasing department and with suppliers during part and tool design.
* Schedule and coordinate reliability testing with the testing department and the design engineering team.
* Operate in a team environment with other functional areas providing input to design solutions.
 
 
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or University and nine-plus years related experience and/or training; or Master's degree in Enginerring and six-plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
