As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing and have a number of exciting positions available right now. BE Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking a energetic, self-starters forpositions ofSeat Assemblerswith our Seating Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. The position works from verbal instructions, work orders, trim and finish drawings, pick sheets, and blueprints to assemble and install all components required for final assembly of commercial aircraft seats.
Major Job Duties:
* Performs all sub-assembly and component assembly operations required to completely assemble aircraft seating.
* Understands and utilizes pick sheets, trim and finish drawings, work orders, WRR's and verbal instructions to properly and efficiently assemble all components.
* Sets up and uses all types of fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment required to manufacture aircraft seating.
* Makes all final checks and adjustments required for proper functional operation of details, components, and completed seat assemblies.
* If required, detects problems and makes field repairs to seats after installation in aircraft or at customer's premises.
Significant Related Duties:
* Moves materials to and from work position. Keeps accurate records and makes reports in accordance with work performance requirements.
* Identifies and notifies supervision of non-compliance difficulties.
* Maintains a clean and safe work area.
* Represents B/E Aerospace in a professional and business-like manner at all times.
Job Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience.
* Must understand and efficiently use hand tools such as pop guns, drill motors, countersinks, reamers, sanders, wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, pliers, punches, and any other hand tool required in the assembly of commercial aircraft seating.
* Ability to read and understand work orders, trim and finish drawings, pick sheets, blueprints, and marked up drawings. Must understand and properly use all data collection devices
* Must possess ability to meet all production and quality standards.
* Ensures conformance to blue prints, written procedures and quality specifications.
