As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Network Engineer II in our growing Corporate Information Technology department located in Winston-Salem, NC. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of CISCO networks. The incumbent will be influential in the company's future direction for its network environment and will be working with other engineers in multiple business units.
Essential Job Functions:
* Focus of this position is on designing, implementing, and maintaining CISCO networking environments including routers, switches and wireless Networks. Current environment is CISCO 6500, 3750, 3560 switches, 2900 & 3900 series routers, ASA and VPN.
* Support over 80 International and Domestic network environments in a 24x7x365 role.
* Working within the framework of established operating procedures and in close cooperation with Senior Network Engineers, the Network Manager and external support personnel, provides the installation, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure and related components.
* Focuses on both hardware and software aspects of network operations across multiple LAN/WAN configurations.
* Monitors network performance and security to ensure the network operations continuously meet the business requirements at agreed and acceptable levels of performance, security and availability.
* Supports, maintains, develops and troubleshoots the operational network infrastructure and related components.
* Assist manager with project planning and implementation.
* Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent experience.
* CCNA Required, CCNP Preferred
* 5 years Production IT Network Experience
* 5 Years of Extensive IP Network routing, support and troubleshooting experience
* 3 Years Cisco Wireless LAN experience to include Cisco Wireless Controller, Access Point and Antennas experience Advanced Strong IP Network
* Experience and understanding of BGP networking and redistribution of protocols
* Experience and understanding of VLANs, Spanning Tree
* Experience and understanding QoS Policies and mappings.
* Experience implementing Enterprise VoIP
* Experience with Cisco Firewalls and VPN policies
* Experience working in a 24x7x365 Enterprise level Network support role.
* Experience working in a dynamic work environment on a complex network with continuous projects
