As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Data Conversion Lead. This position requires very strong leadership ability and a solid understanding of how to data convert data from multiple ERP sources to a single target ERP. This role is in support of a global JDE E1 installation for a manufacturer in the Aerospace industry. This person will work to provide leadership for the data conversion effort. An understanding of Aerospace and manufacturing is preferred. This position will report to the project’s IT Delivery lead and will take direction from the Analytics and Reporting lead on standard data requirements.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
* Assess / catalogue data sources
* Lead field based data collection and analysis of AS-IS state
* Oversee site based efforts to cleanse data
* Identify and drive resolution of data issues in source systems as needed
* Lead use of profiling / cleansing tools to support initiatives
* Establish monitoring / auditing capability over transformed data in source systems
* Drive definition of business rules to cleanse and complete data during conversion
* Work with functional Process Leads to ensure that data meets quality standards
* Report status of data conversion activities
* Run data workshops as needed to drive business / conversion rule definition for source target mappings
* Establish data definition requirements in conjunction with reporting and analytics Lead
* Lead archiving / retention policy creation and effort
* Lead / conduct attribute and entity level mapping between various source systems and the target JDE E1 system at a logical and physical data model level
* Lead the creation and documentation of business rules for any transformations between the source and target systems
* Collaborate wiht the business and IT teams to drive consensus on business rule definition
* Conduct data validation with business and IT teams for any conversion and integration processes
* Work with business and IT teams to resolve any issues with error records during conversion to ensure complete data conversion from sources to target
* Lead the creation of the strategy and solution architecture needed for the conversion environment incuding data landing zones, staging areas, audit and error handling, cleansing and data quality reporting
* Determine staging strategy for data conversion in conjunction wth software development Lead from the System Integrator group
* Drive creation of functional specifications for converting data from each source system
* Lead conversion testing effort
* Interface with multiple teams (internal and vendor) to drive the conversion effort to successful completion
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Information Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* 5-7 years experience in data conversion or data management required
* Aerospace and manufacturing experience preferred
