As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manufacturing Supervisor in our Lighting & Integrated Systems business located in New Berlin, WI.
_ JOB SUMMARY_
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Supervisor will implement activities in production unit to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives. The position will additionally include the supervision of nonexempt associates involved in production, assembly, subassembly or fabrication operations
_ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_
Reviews and prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; assigns associates to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements.
Informs assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules.
Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.
Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of associates, with a portion of time spent performing individual tasks related to the unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's guidelines, procedures and policies plus applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
_ MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:_
Associate's degree (A.A.) from two-year college or technical school; and at least one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the manufacturing industry
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Experience supervising and training employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.
Knowledge of small hand tools; trained and skilled in soldering.
Experience reading blueprints and/or schematics
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, both verbally and in writing.
_ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_
Experience in the harnessing/lighting/circuit board/aerospace/electrical industry
Knowledge of IPC and 5S practices
