SUMMARY
Inspects parts, assemblies and finished products to drawings and specifications.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a wide variety of complex and difficult electromechanical inspections in the production/assembly process through final system assembly.
 
Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
 
Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set-up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
 
May conduct first article inspection of parts, assemblies, equipment and tooling.

Certification Engineer

Job Requirements:

This position reports to the VP of Engineering and provides status of engineering team performance, on time completion, efficiency, quality and cost.  They will analyze variance with plan and provide detailed analysis of main drivers, and develop corrective actions with engineering team to improve performance and improve planning accuracy.
Duties include:
Provide Engineering performance status for:
* Engineering efficiency (Weekly, monthly and yearly)
* Engineering on time performance (Main design milestones, internal and external deliverables to support integrated schedule)
* Engineering quality (Internal and external, by type of error and individual)
 
Support preparation of monthly engineering delivery forecasts, reconcile actual with forecasts by program and by activity, and analyze variances in detail with team leaders and determine root cause.
Support preparation of engineering financials forecast, yearly and monthly updates, reconcile actual with forecast, and analyze variances in detail to determine root cause and potential corrective actions.
Collect information from various systems to prepare status, define and implement new data collection solutions where necessary to improve reporting, and manage the implementation of corrective actions related to performance and evaluate effectiveness.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a BS degree from four-year college or university in Engineering or Program Management and at least 5 years experience in the aerospace industry, either in program management or in engineering.  They must be self motivated and capable to work independently, be able to work under the pressure of critical deadlines and they must be extremely efficient in the use of Access, Excel, PowerPoint, general scheduling process, basic financial understanding and have basic notions of CAD and PLM systems.
 
The candidate must have good lean experience, be able to run kaizen events, create value stream mapping and use six sigma analysis techniques (Six sigma green belt would be a plus).

SUMMARY
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

Electrical Engineering
 
The planning, design and oversight of the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical components, equipment and systems.
 
Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.

Close review of new design or applications is provided.

Summary/Job Description:
Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
 
Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
 
GENERAL:
· Applies standard techniques involving only minor innovations of methodology to provide solutions to problems involving a limited number of variables.
· Normally focuses on existing products or processes.
· Participates with drafters, technicians, and others to contribute to project completion.
· Coordinates work with other engineers and operating groups to facilitate participation of various organizational units.
 
SPECIFIC:
Performs professional Manufacturing Engineering assignments of a moderate degree of complexity under direction and supervision with some latitude for independent action and decision.
Applies basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
May prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity and magnitude where technical supervision provides an outline of tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedures to be followed.

SUMMARY

Senior Principle Engineer, Materials and Processes

Summary/Job Description:Responsible for metallic and nonmetallic materials and fabrication processes in support of design, manufacture and certification of aircraft parts.

Program Manager
 
Primary responsibilities for program segment/ allocated &amp; managed programs.
 
Financial responsibility
* Responsible for Gross Margin maintenance for all segment/ business program in line with business plan/ forecast
* Drives Improvements to gain Gross Margin expansion
* Provides Accurate Forecasting Revenue/ cash / capital investments -/+ 5%
* Ensures management of cash receivables for assigned business/ program segment
* Promotes cost reduction in line with agreed business plan/ program goals
 
Contract Management
* Provides oversight of all the segment/business program contracts
* Endorse pricing/ escalation per agreed contract terms
* Mitigate contract risks/potential penalties
* Resolves contract disputes
* Manage customer/program changes in line with contract legal and business procedures
* Provides timely escalation of issues to senior management where resolution is at risk.
 
Schedule management
* Provides oversight &amp; Ensures all segment/business program are scheduled through Primavea and are structured and linked to integrate the requirements for; Suppliers/operations/certification/engineering/purchasing schedules &amp; resources
* Ensures integrated schedules are updated and managed to ensure program delivery and provide accurate data to feed to overall business forecasting metrics
* Provide oversight for segment portfolio to ensure that programs deliver on time and that program risk is managed within acceptable limits Provides for recovery actions and plans in line with program performance/forecast
 
Customer interface and management
* Customer management, ensuring a balance of interests between customer and FSI; ensure customer requirements are understood and that FSI’s capabilities are represented and promoted
* Provides regular customer reports/status to senior management and segment team
* Meets with customers on a regular basis and ensure that the relationship is developed in line with FSI strategic direction.
* Leverages existing programs/FSI performance to expand business for FSI &amp; BE Aerospace
* Works with senior management to ensure future customer needs are understood and forecasted to maintain and grow FSI presence.
 
Team management &amp; communication
* Ensures the segment/business program team’s/IPT’s have the necessary resources to perform
* Works with assigned Engineering Program Director and other directors &amp; managers to resolve resources/business conflict
* Sets performance goals for the segment/business program/IPT in line with the agreed business goals for FSI
* Works with the assigned Engineering Director to oversee the segment/business program team’s/IPT’s to ensure that they have necessary skills and capability to deliver in line with business forecast &amp; expectations.
* Provides overall team leadership and direction for the segment/ business programs line with FSI business goals and objectives
* Identifies new leadership potential and promotes growth of the individuals talents
* Ensures that all business quality legal and safety standards are upheld and maintained
* Ensures regular internal communications to report business and program performance
* Ensures regular communication is held with sister and partner sights on business and program performance
 
Program performance &amp; reporting
* Directly manages programs and/or segment portfolio through allocated team
* Provides oversight and timely reporting of all programs phases including Program planning, milestone adherence, product development/ manufacture &amp; procurement, certification and qualification, delivery and product &amp; customer support
* Enforces EV metrics, risk management, contract management cost control, program &amp; business reporting
* Promotes and supports PMO governance, processes, metrics, reporting, standards and initiatives.
* Provides timely escalation &amp; consultation with senior management where program performance threatens business performance.
 
Supervisory responsibility include;
* Direct or indirect (dotted-line) supervision of exempt and/or nonexempt associates.
* The overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the segment portfolio or department.
* Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
* Additional responsibilities may also include;Interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 
Education &amp;/or Experience:
* Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and minimum twelve years related experience and/or training.

Interiors Stress Engineer
Discipline: Stress

Performs analysis of aircraft and aircraft interior structural designs. Also writes substantiation reports and conducts testing to show compliance to the FAR’s.
Analysis work will entail both interiors and primary aircraft structure. Primarily Seat tracks and panels Classical hand, computer and FEM analytical methods will be used.
Performs standard engineering assignments usually representing a significant portion of a larger project.
Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations.
Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects. Develops substantiation plans for a variety of projects including specific requirements for structural analysis, static testing and/or comparison to existing analysis.
Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing and certification groups as well as the customer and regulatory agencies during the extent of a program.
Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
Performs other related duties as required.


Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; and minimumeight years related experience.
NASTRAN, Patran or FEMAP working knowledge is required. Experience with design for aircraft interiors is required.
