BUYER
Successful candidate will purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures while optimizing price, delivery, and terms. Candidate will be heavily involved in the development of specifications, responsible for investigating and identify qualified suppliers, issues requests for quotations, determine method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid. Other responsibilities to include but not limited to: Reviews, approves and issues purchase requisitions, follows up and expedites as necessary, select products for purchase, estimates values according to knowledge of market price, coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels and maintain all procurement records.
Desired qualifications include a Bachelors degree in business with an emphasis on supply chain management and two years of procurement experience, and proficiency in the application of integrated manufacturing systems (ERP) to scheduling production OR Non degree with 6 years experience. Aerospace industry experience and NAPM/ISM certification is desirable.
