Analyst Supply Chain Systems
Functional: Supply Chain  
 
SUMMARY
Responsible for extracting, manipulating and analyzing data in support of supply chain initiatives such as cost reduction, LCC sourcing, inventory reduction and strategic planning.  This position would also take on support, training and further development of the SCM systems implemented to date such as Atlas, Supplier Portal and the Supplier Scorecard database.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitoring, support and training for the SCM systems such as Atlas, Supplier Portal, DSI barcoding and access databases.   Performs data manipulation and system development to support purchasing, materials, shipping and planning operations as required.    Interprets data and provides recommendations and/ or defines trends that result in cost reductions or improved efficiency.   Analyzes current operational procedures, identify problems, and provide technical assistance to meet user requirements.   Administers Atlas - including methodology and part set ups.   Administers supplier portals.   Develops and administers supplier scorecard.   Performs other related duties as required.   
 
SUPERVISION RECEIVEDActs independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of lower-level personnel.  
 
JOB COMPLEXITY
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.  Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Avanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint  and Access required.  Vlookup a Plus.  
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, clients, customers, and the general public.  
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
