As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Staff Accountant in our Oxygen Life Support Systems business located in Lenexa, KS.
- JOB SUMMARY*
Reporting to the Accounting Cost & Analysis Manager, the Staff Accountant will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.
Following established procedures, performs detailed accounting requiring a basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles.
Work is subject to general review and under the direction of senior accounting personnel.
Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, General Accounting and the like.
Reviews and analyzes journal vouchers, accounting classifications and other accounting/financial statements, records and reports.
Assists higher level accountants in a variety of accounting assignments such as: taking trial balances, making adjustments and closing entries, preparing profit and loss statements, inventory, receipts and disbursements, balance sheets, computing and distributing labor, material and overhead costs.
Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with accounts receivables
Experience with accounting in manufacturing environment
