At our Lenexa site we manufacture and assemble a wide selection of galley insert equipment including coffee and espresso makers, water boilers and liquid containers, as well as passenger and crew oxygen storage and delivery systems.
As a Quality Engineer you will plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products by performing the following duties.
* Develops and applies advanced Quality Engineering theories, methods and research techniques in the development, establishment and maintenance of quality assurance/control policies, procedures and methods.
* Develops sampling plans, quality standards and quality control instructions to be utilized by manufacturing, test and inspection in assessing the quality levels of products and processes.
* Provides recommendations concerning the disposition of defective materials.
* Reviews corrective actions recommended on audit reports for adequacy and to maintain a continuing awareness of quality problems.
* Conducts investigations of considerable complexity pertaining to the manufacture of new products, the establishment of new processes or the resolution of complex product quality problems.
* May provide technical guidance to lower level engineers, technicians and inspectors.
Minimum Job Requirements:
* BS degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent conbination of education and experience
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience with ISO 9000/AS9100, FAA regulations, part inspections and conformities, the proper use of inspection equipment, corrective/preventive actions, root cause analysis, internal auditing, and vendor quality surveliance is prefered.
* Supplier development and customer relations experience is very helpful
* Must have excellent communicationa nd problem solving skills
* Excellent internal/external customer service
* Ability to complete tasks/projects with minimal supervision
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
* Required to work as an interface with high profile and demanding customers regarding the quality of B/E Aerospace products.
