Our Lenexa facility designs and manufactures Oxygen Life Support System products for commercial, military and private business jet aircrafts providing high quality, innovative solutions to enhance aircraft passengers and crew safety and comfort. We strive to make advances in the field of oxygen delivery and consumption technologies for a more reliable system that reduces total weight and cost for our clientele.

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Project Manager in our Oxygen Life Support System business located in Lenexa, KS.

  • JOB SUMMARY*

Reporting to the Director of Program Management, the Project Manager will support and contribute towards the success of the oxygen life support program via the efficient and effective execution of various finite projects within the program to meet the deadlines set. To act as the key focal point for both the customer and internal functions on specific work packages. To work with the customer PMO to deliver weekly metrics and to ensure that resources within the oxygen life support team are carrying out the work necessary to meet project deliverables.

  • JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Create and execute project plans, including revisions where necessary to meet changing needs and requirements

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths

  • Work with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that the projects under your responsibility are resourced appropriately

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of each project

  • Pro-actively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and devise mitigation actions

  • Ensure project documentation is complete, current and stored appropriately

  • Generate a strong focus on customer relationships whilst delivering internal objectives

  • Ensure clear communication to and with all project stakeholders on an on-going basis

  • Motivate those designated with tasks on the project to actively involve themselves in its success

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team

  • Support Program Manager in general program tasks and activities on a day to day basis

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Oversee the implementation of communication practices that enable the effective exchange of information and ideas throughout the organization resulting in an involved and focused workforce.

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*

  • Practical knowledge of one or more project controls principles (project scheduling, job cost control, change management, risk management and earned value).

  • Basic understanding of how to use Oracle Primavera P6 tools.

  • Hands on understanding of project management principles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Detail oriented with ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
