We seek individuals who share our passion to succeed and generate results.  As a Product Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing customers with product and technical support for aircraft cabin interior products, to include product usage, product performance/troubleshooting, and product repair/maintenance. You will perform conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations. Other responsibilities include:
 
* Coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems encountered in assigned area of aircraft manufacturing facility.
* Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to maintain current knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities for production.
* Confers with quality control, material, manufacturing, and other department personnel to provide technical support
* Interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during manufacturing operations.
* Investigates reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems to determine nature and scope of problem.
* Examines, measures, inspects, or tests defective part for conformance to engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications, using precision measuring and testing instruments, devices, and equipment.
* Consults with project engineers to obtain specialized information.
* Evaluates findings to formulate corrective action plan and coordinates implementation of plan.
* Maintains records or oversees recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering-related production problems and resolutions are documented.
* Serves as member of material review board to determine disposition of defective or damaged parts.
* Coordinates with Customer to resolve field issues that had or could potentially cause an AOG
* Applies standard techniques involving only minor innovations of methodology to provide solutions to problems involving a limited number of variables
* Participates with drafters, technicians, and others to contribute to project completion
 
Minimum Requirements:
 
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training
 
Preferred Requirements:
 
* Demonstrated understanding of multiple production processes, including molding, casting, forging, and machining operations.
* Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM&A) and implementation thereof.
* Track record of proven success on cross-functional project teams
* Experience in a manufacutring environment
* Experience working within an international business environment (Europe and APAC)
* Experience developing and implementing products to improve manufacturing efficiencies
* Experience with aircraft interiors is a plus
* Experience with pneumatic or oxygen systems is a plus
* Experience working cross-functionally on problem resolution efforts
* Must be a creative troubleshooter, problem solver and team player who is oriented towards results, quality and customer satisfaction
* Experience developing solutions and product enhancements.
* Experience with product qualification and certification
* Demonstrated experience with customer problem resolution
* Experience preparing appropriate documentation and reports for assigned projects
* Experience with field failure analysis
