As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing and have a number of exciting positions available right now. B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking energetic, self-starters for the position of Product Design Engineer at our Lenexa, KS facility. At our Lenexa site we manufacture and assemble a wide selection of passenger and crew oxygen storage and delivery systems.This position is responsible the planning, design and analysis of the onstruction and use of equipment and parts for the Life Support Systems Group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
* Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
* Provides technical leadership to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians.
* Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
* Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work
Minimum Requirements:
*
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; and minimum three years related experience and/or training
Preferred Requirements:
* Minimum of three years product development experience
* Experience with pressurized systems, injection molding, and plastics
* Experience working to specific technical specifications
* Experience developing components and systems/complex products
