- JOB SUMMARY*
Performs complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/processes/techniques. Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment. The position requires an ability to interpret, on a broad basis, the principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard material, and difficult coordination requirements.
Coordinates project activities with other operating or engineering units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion.
Reviews project-related documentation to ensure its accuracy.
Participates in professional organizations to maintain current knowledge of technical innovations.
Assists in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design.
Performs other related duties as required.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university.
Eight (8) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive experience on Boeing 787 in one or more of the following areas: electrical system design, wire design, wire installation, equipment installation, CRN design, cabin system configuration, electrical ship side support.
