The Lavatories and Water Waste Systems division of Rockwell Collins formerly B/E Aerospace is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. The Lavatories and Water Waste Systems Advanced Lavatory is a cutting edge product, offering a unique value proposition that allows airlines to increase revenue and lower operational cost. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Design Checker in our Lavatories and Water Waste Systems business located in Everett, WA.


Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Design Checker is Responsible for checking and verifying engineering drawings and related documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, quality and use of design standards where work is of a complex nature by performing the following duties.


  • Verify engineering drawings to best practices and standards.

  • Works with engineering personal to resolve discrepancies.

  • Redline drawings in electronic format and communicates back to engineering team.

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team

  • Performs other related tasks as required.


  • Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft offices including excel, word, and outlook.

  • Must have the ability to read 3D models, drawings, and Bill of Materials

  • Must have excellent communication skills

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 2-5 years of experience or seven plus years related experience and/or training


  • Familiarity with NX9

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter engineering

  • Familiarity with aerospace standards

  • Familiarity with Adobe Reader
