As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including the Quality Assurance Managerposition at our headquarters in Miami, FL.
OBJECTIVE
Responsible for leading the Quality and Inspection Team at the facility in developing and maintaining a system to ensure all products supplied by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. In addition, to provide a safe, clean, and healthy work environment for all quality personnel. Responsible for all quality personnel staffing requirements, planning and coordination of work flow throughout the quality department.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Implements a production program to ensure conformity of purchased material and final products meet companys quality standards.
* Incorporate statistical control programs and report quality performance trends to the management team including major issues which could affect business performance;
* Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required
* Prepares all necessary reports as required by customers and internal personnel
* Ongoing management of the quality system in accordance with ISO9001:2000 and AS9100
* Ensures customer and supplier quality requirements are achieved
* Effective management of the quality departments resources
* Motivates, trains and develops quality personnel
* Training and developing personnel in problem solving and quality related techniques and promoting a culture of teamwork
* Promotes and develops continuous improvement techniques
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
* BS/BA degree and Minimum of 7 years experience in Quality Assurance field
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of Supervisory/Manager experience
* Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
* Must be proficient in MS programs (i.e., Word and Excel and PowerPoint, etc.).
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Aerospace and or military hardware knowledge; FAA Knowledge
* Understanding of Federal Aviation Authority policies and procedures
* Knowledge of LEAN / Six Sigma and 6 S methodologies
* Ability to create and maintain the departments budget
* Ability to motivate and mentor others
* Must be detail oriented
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, organizational skills
