As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including the Quality Assurance Inspector II positions at our Miami Headquarters.
OBJECTIVE
Inspects incoming parts/material, verifies that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, in charge of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
* Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
* Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS-9100 and B/E Quality Standards
* Obtains and maintains Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers
* Disposition and control on non-conforming product
* Leads in the development of Inspection plans
* Review and approval of First Articles from suppliers
* Performs First Articles for submission to Customers
* Assists in internal, customer and third party audits
* Identifies and communicates opportunities to increase Inspector productivity
* Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned by supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in QA inspection methods and procedures
* High school education or GED equivalent.
* Fluent in English (i.e. reading, writing, and verbal communication).
* Strong analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
* Required to pass documented color and near vision exam.
* Knowledge of AS-9100 requirements
* In-depth experience in the usage of calipers, ring/pin guages, comparator, and Smart scope
* Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Associates degree preferred
* Understanding of Six Sigma / team concepts preferred
* ISO knowledge and understanding preferred
