In this position, the successful candidate performs complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/processes/techniques. Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment. The position requires an ability to interpret, on a broad basis, the principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty. Key responsibilities include:
 
* Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities including delegation to others.
* Participates in establishing design constraints.
* Directs and assists in the selection and review of V&amp;V plans and results.
* Prepares engineering development proposals and feasibility studies.
* Helps management set and reach technical objectives.
* Coordinates efforts at all levels with other units of the company, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc.
* Will develop new components and systems to support aerospace product line.
* Works with Sales and Engineering management to develop the technical specifications.
* Reviews customer RFQ and specifications and develops preliminary design concepts.
* Provides directions to designers from proposal drawings to final design.
* Provides technical guidance for preparation of technical proposals.
* Performs preliminary analytical and/or experimental tasks as necessary to demonstrate soundness of conceptual design.
* Follows through on experimental designs to correct design deficiencies and make improvements.
* Investigates production problems when called upon and searches for solutions; advises and assists other department members on design issues.
* Completes forms and relevant documentation within the Engineering department for procurement, fabrication and testing.
* Provides regular status updates and progress reports for assigned programs.
* Originate, validate and verify engineering change requests and product improvements.
* Perform failure analysis and write failure reports for Customer Support.
* Develop, maintain and track sustaining project schedules.
* Coordinate with Production, Design, Technical Writing, Repair and Customer Support departments to implement product changes.
* Familiar with six sigma methodology, cost reduction and warranty reduction programs.
 
 
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university (BSME/BSAE); and minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to interpret mechanical and fundamental mechanical engineering principles, theories, and concepts centered around airborne refrigeration equipment.
* Ability to lead small teams in product development and sustaining tasks with both written and oral plans.
* Ability to work with less experienced engineers, factory personal and cross function product teams.
* Direct experience and practice with:
* System Engineering/Design
* Qualification Test Programs (Boeing &amp; Airbus program experience preferred).
* Tolerance Analysis of mechanisms and assemblies.

* Ensures RCCA meet customer requirements and response time
* Lead all  on customer scorecards metrics to achieve  a 100% rating
* Assist and facilitate continual improvement efforts both internally and externally on customer quality processes
* Leads all purge activities and ensure containment is within 48 hours globally.   Makes final disposition on product non-conformances.
* Works with customer on RMA product and submits documents for MRB approval
* Active member of the Product Integrity Committee
* Assists Quality Management with internal, customer and third party audits and assessments. 
* Writes quality plans, sampling plans, and inspections plans for customer products

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Monitor and report suppliers’ activities and deliverables in accordance with the plans

* Assure that suppliers’ products (documentation and hardware) meet the customer and company requirements
* Perform production status audits at supplier’s facilities on a routine basis
* Work with suppliers to resolve schedule-related problems quickly, economically, and effectively
* Provide shipping information as required  to facilitate maintaining anticipated delivery dates, etc.
* Provide weekly status reports utilizing standard reporting formats

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
* Associates degree in business or related area

B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking an energetic, self-starter for the position of Certification Engineer in our Refrigeration Products Group in Anaheim, CA. In this position, you will be an intricate part of new product certification process, as well as design testing and other tasks as required.
 
The best candidate for the position will have the following skills and experience:
·        Knowledgeable with certification best practices of Boeing, Airbus and the FAA.
·        Familiar with FAA/EASA Part 25 rules and regulations.
·        Ability to work with all levels of engineering and customers.
·        Familiarity with working with outside vendors.
·        Working experience with MIL-STD-810, RTCADO-160, Boeing D6, and Airbus ABD airborne environmental testing experience.
·        Previous experience with aircraft equipment installation, compliance and conformity.
·        Prior DER in Training experience helpful but not required.
·        Program Management and System Engineering experience helpful.
·        In-depth knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic principles and manufacturing practices.
·        Cross-team leadership and communication skills.

B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Products Segment is seeking energetic, self-starters for the position of Senior Project Engineer – Lead in our Anaheim, California facility.

In this position the successful candidate will be the primary technical point of contact for the development and technical leadership of the next generation of hydraulic galley systems. Key responsibilities include:
·        Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities including delegation to others.
·        Participates in establishing design constraints.
·        Directs and assists in the selection and review of V&amp;V plans and results.
·        Prepares engineering development proposals and feasibility studies.
·        Helps management set and reach technical objectives.
·        Coordinates efforts at all levels with other units of the company, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, etc.
·        Will develop new components and systems to support aerospace product line.
·        Works with Sales and Engineering management to develop the technical specifications.
·        Reviews customer RFQ and specifications and develops preliminary design concepts.
·        Provides directions to designers from proposal drawings to final design.
·        Provides technical guidance for preparation of technical proposals.
·        Performs preliminary analytical and/or experimental tasks as necessary to demonstrate soundness of conceptual design.
·        Follows through on experimental designs to correct design deficiencies and make improvements.
·        Investigates production problems when called upon and searches for solutions; advises and assists other department members on design issues.
·        Completes forms and relevant documentation within the Engineering department for procurement, fabrication and testing.
·        Provides regular status updates and progress reports for assigned programs.
 
Job Requirements:
 
·        Strong leadership skills in a technical development environment.
·        Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; and minimum ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·        Minimum of 5 years experience in a Project or Mechanical Systems Engineering role.
·        Working knowledge of FAA/Boeing/Airbus certification processes.
·        Ability to lead an engineering team of 5 to 7 engineers.
