B/E Aerospace's Commercial Aircraft Segment is seeking an energetic, self-starter for the position of Certification Engineer in our Refrigeration Products Group in Anaheim, CA. In this position, you will be an intricate part of new product certification process, as well as design testing and other tasks as required.
The best candidate for the position will have the following skills and experience:
· Knowledgeable with certification best practices of Boeing, Airbus and the FAA.
· Familiar with FAA/EASA Part 25 rules and regulations.
· Ability to work with all levels of engineering and customers.
· Familiarity with working with outside vendors.
· Working experience with MIL-STD-810, RTCADO-160, Boeing D6, and Airbus ABD airborne environmental testing experience.
· Previous experience with aircraft equipment installation, compliance and conformity.
· Prior DER in Training experience helpful but not required.
· Program Management and System Engineering experience helpful.
· In-depth knowledge of mechanical/electrical/electronic principles and manufacturing practices.
· Cross-team leadership and communication skills.
· Experienced with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Access, and Project.
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, clients, customers and the general public.
· Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
· Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
· BS in Engineering from 4 year college/university with a 5+ years related experience/ training or technical/military degree. Minimum of 5 years as a Qualification and Certification Engineer.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
